CHECKERED TOAST WITH MATCHA CREAM AND BLACKBERRY JAM

This checkered toast with matcha cream and blackberry jam has become our new favourite! Not only does it taste amazing, but it also look super cool! Take your brunches to the next level with this recipe. This was inspired by our Vanilla Blackberry Matcha Lattes at our JENKI bars, the matcha and blackberry combo has quickly become our fave!

 

INGREDIENTS:

 

  • 1 x 165g tub of room temp cream cheese
  • 1/2 tbsp light brown sugar
  • 2 tsp JENKI Matcha
  • Blackberry jam
  • Bread of choice - toasted

 

DIRECTIONS:

 

  1. Add your room temperature cream cheese to a mixing bowl, beat with a whisk for 30 seconds until softened.
  2. Add 1/2 of light brown sugar, or sweetener of your choice. Whisk again until dissolved.
  3. Sift 2 tsp of JENKI Matcha and whisk for a further 60 seconds.
  4. Toast your bread until golden and let it cool slightly.
  5. Using the back of two small spoons, scoop and press your jam and matcha cream cheese into your toast, alternating between the two to create a checkered pattern.
  6. Enjoy!
