Overview


This is a 12 month maternity cover role supporting JENKI’s bar menu and food innovation strategy. You will help maintain the delivery of seasonal launches, recipe testing, bar team implementation, and flavour-forward product development, ensuring the ongoing quality and consistency of JENKI’s offering. 

 


Core Responsibilities


Menu Development & Innovation

  • Support the seasonal menu calendar, including planning, testing, and bar launch logistics
  • Assist with bar menu audits and in-bar reviews to maintain quality, relevance, and performance
  • Contribute to flavour innovation across food and drink menus within the existing matcha and wellness framework
  • Coordinate matcha testing (quality, flavour, performance) and oversee batch testing for new SKUs or ranges
  • Maintain detailed recipe documentation, including prep guides and SOPs.

 

Team Management & Bar Execution

  • Liaise with bar teams and ensure products are executed to spec and high standards
  • Conduct ongoing bar check-ins and feedback loops to maintain consistency
  • Support bar training and seasonal rollout to ensure teams are confident in execution and product knowledge
  • Work with kitchen operations and test kitchen teams on prep processes and handovers.

 

Performance Reporting & Cost Management

  • Track and analyse performance of seasonal launches, including sales feedback and bar insights
  • Assist with ingredient costings, margins, and menu profitability tracking
  • Identify opportunities to streamline recipes or reduce cost without compromising quality.

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Support the Digital Marketing team with recipe content and campaign needs
  • Brief the Graphic Designer on menus, recipe cards, and POS materials
  • Provide culinary input for campaigns, ensuring consistency with JENKI’s flavour and wellness positioning.

 

Design Oversight (Light-touch)

  • Contribute flavour/recipe input for menus and campaigns
  • Liaise with Junior Designer and Pulsar for design support as needed.
    Key Skills & Experience

 


Key Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years in food innovation, hospitality, or CPG
  • Strong understanding of flavour development, ingredient performance, and wellness-led trends
  • Experience running launches end-to-end, from testing to rollout and reporting
  • Comfortable with spreadsheets, margins, and working with finance/supply chain
  • Excellent cross-functional communicator with high attention to detail
  • Passionate about quality, consistency, and maintaining high product standards.
