This matcha is made exclusively from the Saekari cultivar, grown and stone-milled in small batches in Yame, Fukuoka, a region known for producing deeply expressive teas.

This is a matcha for slower moments and more intentional rituals, designed to be enjoyed simply, whisked with water.

Single-cultivar matcha allows the characteristics of the tea plant to shine through. Saekari is prized for its elegance and rounded flavour, offering depth without bitterness.

Instructions

The JENKI Serve:

  • Sieve 2.5g (about 1 heaped tsp) into a bowl
  • Add 40ml warm water (never boiling)
  • Whisk until smooth with an even foam
  • Top with milk or water (hot or cold)

High in Chlorophyll, Caffeine, L’theanine and Amino Acids. Contains calcium, vitamin D, vitamin C and other minerals.

I'm really impressed with the taste of this matcha!

I'm really impressed with the taste of this matcha! I decided to take a chance on ordering the 100g pouch as two of us drink matcha every day so I wanted to try and find a matcha that was still lovely and nice quality but a little more price friendly as I can use a 30g tin in no time. This does have a lovely mellow and well rounded taste, without any bitterness, so it's lovely as usucha - very enjoyable. I think that I am going to subscribe as it's a great quality matcha.
