About JENKI:

We are on a mission to make the UK a matcha-drinking nation. We started JENKI to fuel the city with a clearer, calmer energy. One that’ll keep you going all day long, without the jitters or the crashes that come with the black stuff. With two bars in Central London, Spitalfields and Selfridges, we have a third opening in May and are primed for rapid expansion this year across the capital. We’ve organically grown our e-commerce community and trade accounts to date but are now poised to drive our energy into expanding these channels further. Whilst we’re currently within the UK market our ambitions are international growth. With a 90% return customer rate in our bars, the opportunities to grow a loyal customer base online and within wholesale are endless…


What will the role entail?


As a Sales Account Executive, you’ll be the key interface between JENKI and its wholesale customers offering advice, dealing with issues and introducing them to new products. You’ll also have a major role in capturing new customers and increasing sales to meet company business targets. You will be confident, have good knowledge of different food and drink outlets and know everything about the matcha market.


Day-to-Day Account Management:

  • Build and nurture relationships with existing JENKI accounts 
  • Gather insights into our accounts customer and their matcha needs 
  • Support existing accounts with matcha team training
  • Supply relevant equipment and POS when needed to accounts
  • Create a target list of existing accounts to support from a marketing perspective 
  • Discuss and implement further JENKI brand presence where possible in accounts and/or on their digital platforms 
  • Work with the Head of Trade Activations to implement marketing initiatives and activations
  • Manage the JENKI current accounts list, ensuring it is kept up-to-date weekly 

Oversee and manage the relationships with our JENKI stockists:

  • Monthly call with Stores Supply to receive sales updates and new account information
  • Formulate a monthly ‘plan of action’ to support Stores Supply in nurturing current relationships and securing new accounts (training, providing JENKI equipment, attending sales meetings as a JENKI representative)
  • Work alongside Stores Supply to create a target list of accounts to support marketing initiatives
  • Work with the Head of Trade Activations to implement marketing initiatives and activations

New Sales Leads:

  • Generate new JENKI account leads through ‘on the ground’ sales tactics
  • Focus sales pitches on independent cafes and delis in the London and South of England area (Silver & Bronze Targets)

Product Knowledge and Training: 

  • Become an expert on matcha and its health benefits
  • Train to become ‘matcharista’ qualified to lead matcha trainings 
  • Provide training to accounts to ensure a deep understanding of our products
  • Provide feedback to the Head of Trade Activations on ‘tools’ needed by trade to whisk up JENKI 

Market Analysis and Reporting: 

  • Conduct market research to understand the matcha landscape across London (initially) and competitor activity 
  • Generate regular reports on sales performance through our stockists and direct platforms 

General Admin:

  • Input and manage the trade CRM system 
  • Raise Invoices on Xero
  • Provide quarterly stock forecasts for operations
  • Work with a compliance team
